Manhattan is an island in NYC, but an even smaller one occupies space between it and Brooklyn, New York City.

Governors Island was an army base, and it was not until 2003 that it was sold to the city and transformed into a site for travelers. Finally, 14 is small, 172 acres in NYC Harbor and only eight hundred yards from the lower area.

Stepping off the fully crowded ferry, the island takes moments to understand.

There is no historical trip to take, but you can allow your imagination to run free as you meander through. On the weekends, this is bustling with many activities, from big screens to concerts for visitors to sit and watch the WC to food vendors.

For biking, bike rentals are available on Governors Island, New York, bikes are welcome on the ferry that brings tourists for just 2 USD round trip, and children below 12 rides are free.

It is mainly artificial topography, the same as that of Central Park, and the major attractions when they are finished – will be the four hills: Slide, Grassy, Outlook, and Discovery.

Hill’s eighty-foot high outlook will have an acceptable winding biking path and might be the best spot for some weekday run intervals while the family bike rides around Governors Island, New York.
